About
I’m a qualitative researcher, educator, and feminist sociologist by training. I’m also a storyteller, anti-violence advocate, and writer by passion. Born in the Hudson Valley of New York State, I’ve also lived in southern Vermont, the Eastern Caribbean, New York City, Boston, and western Massachusetts. I earned my B.A. in Anthropology and Sociology, with a minor in Hispanic Studies from Vassar College in 2011, my M.A. in Sociology and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from Brandeis University in 2017, and my Ph.D. in Sociology from Brandeis University in 2023. My research and writing explores gender violence, collective action and social movements, culture, and temporality. For further details on my research, publications, and teaching experience, please see my CV.
Along with my experiences as a sociologist and educator, I’ve also worked as a domestic violence advocate, foster care case worker, U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer, research assistant, barista, and art model. For further details on my employment experiences and skills, please see my resume.
